Paul Wehrmann is a solo practitioner of corporate, securities, and transactional law. His practice focuses on representation of start-up companies from formation, through private funding, to acquisition or public offering and beyond. While he has worked on approximately 60 venture capital transactions, Mr. Wehrmann also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities regulatory compliance, and corporate formation and regulation. He has experience acting as in-house counsel to Rexene Corporation and American Airlines. Mr. Wehrmann began his career in 1990 in the Dallas office of Vinson & Elkins and also worked in its Washington, D.C., office during his tenure there. Prior to starting his own legal practice, Mr. Wehrmann was in the Austin, Dallas, and Richardson offices of Haynes and Boone.
Mr. Wehrmann holds a Juris Doctorate from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Journal of Air Law and Commerce. Mr. Wehrmann also holds a bachelor of arts, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University, and was the first graduate of its liberal arts honors program.
In addition to being on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of DFW Texchange, Mr. Wehrmann is on the Board of Directors and serves as general counsel and secretary for the Video Association of Dallas and is on the Board of Directors and serves as Treasurer of The Twelve Hills Nature Center. Mr. Wehrmann is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
Mr. Wehrmann is married with three children and is conversant in French.
