Charlie is an 18-year veteran of the PC industry, with operating experience in both hardware sales and software development. He has been a professional investor since 1994.

 

In 1985, Charlie was a founding executive of Contact Software International, Inc. ("CSI"), the developers and marketers of ACT! contact management software, where he held the positions of Vice President of Operations and Finance and Vice President for Business Development. ACT! became an internationally recognized leader in contact management software, and CSI was sold for more than $46 million to Symantec Corporation in June 1993.

 

Following CSI's sale to Symantec, Charlie was an investor and advisor to several Internet-related companies, and from December 1994 through June 1995, he was engaged as a consultant for Internet opportunities with the Sevin Rosen Funds.

 

In 1996 he co-founded Richman Bradley Holdings, a NASD registered securities broker/dealer and business advisory firm. He and Dan Owen formed HO2 in late 1997 and launched the HO2.1 Funds in December 1999.

 

Along with his positions on the boards of HO2 portfolio companies, Charlie is on the Board of Directors of the Texas Chapter of Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, and the Advisory Board for the Southwest Venture Forum. He is a guest lecturer in the Executive MBA programs at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

 

Charlie volunteered six years to the U.S. Naval Submarine Program (1971-1977), graduating in the top 2% of the nuclear training program. He holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing from Ohio State University.
