"Venture Investing: Dinosaur or Caterpillar?"
September 2006
KICK-OFF PROGRAM
|
The venture capital industry has long been a source of seed and development capital for early stage start-ups. The environment of the past few years has created a dichotomy not seen in recent times. Venture firms with plentiful investment capital face a market that has spawned few recent early stage successes with limited exit options. Many believe these conditions have created a conundrum of doubt about the future of early stage technology investing.
Is venture investing for new projects on the verge of extinction, or will it emerge as a newly vibrant and once-again viable capital source for start-ups? And what does this mean for the early stage entrepreneur?
Come and hear what proven entrepreneur and venture veteran Jackie Kimzey of Sevin Rosen Funds has to say about the future of Venture Capital and the market's current view of early stage investments.
