Scott Crist is the Managing Director of Crist Ventures as well as a Founder and former CEO of Telscape International (NASDAQ: TSCP). Telscape is an integrated communications company focused on voice, video, data and Internet markets in emerging countries with an emphasis on Latin America. Scott is also a Resident CEO strategic advisor for Garage.com and a general partner of Venture Bridge LP, an early-stage venture capital fund. Formerly President and CEO for Matrix (which ranked #7 on the Inc. Magazine list of the 500 fastest growing private companies in the U.S. in 1995), he had previously founded DNS Communications and served as its Chairman and CEO until its merger with Matrix. Scott also serves as a frequent lecturer at Northwestern University's Kellogg Business School (where he received his MBA) and at Rice's Jones Graduate School of Management. He was named as an Entrepreneur of the Year by CNN/NASDAQ/Ernst & Young in 1999.
