Joanna F. Gaines

Joanna Gaines has completed numerous projects in strategic planning, business process analysis, market research and development, and legislative and regulatory analysis and planning. She regularly works in conjunction with financial and investment banking firms, and served as a project manager for three years as a consultant to an international insurance firm during the privatization of a major state insurance fund. Since December 1999 Ms. Gaines has completed dozens of projects with early-stage and venture capital portfolio companies.

Ms. Gaines has been an independent business consultant since 1996, working on domestic and international projects for companies ranging from Fortune 100s to start-ups. She began her consulting career while working for an international accounting firm and several large law firms, and continues to work in conjunction with venture capital and investment banking firms as well as corporate clients. She has been a consulting partner for WoodRock & Co., a private investment banking firm in Houston, since October 2000.

Ms. Gaines has a BA and MA from the University of Texas at Austin, in addition to graduate credits from several universities in the United States and Europe. She is multilingual, and has authored and edited more than thirty articles and four books (in three languages) for various client companies. .
